Our vision
|
Wakefield is an amazing place with amazing people. There are plans and designs for its future, that will ensure it will be at the forefront of West Yorkshire economic and cultural advances and developments for many years to come. God has called us to serve him here for such a time as this. We sense a destiny and future prosperity about our city and we are genuinely excited about the calling of God in our lives to make a difference to it. The Christian faith was summarised by Jesus when he said that all the commandments boiled down to these two:- Love God, with all your heart soul and strength, and your neighbour as yourself. Our Vision statement seeks to reflect this. Our vision, is to give every man, woman, boy and girl in the Wakefield area the opportunity via a variety of means, to hear, see, touch and respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ, and then to provide them with a Connect Group and church, where they can be nurtured and discipled in the Christian faith. The realisation of this vision to impact our city, calls us to respond proactively to the physical and emotional as well as the spiritual needs of the people. Jesus ministered to the whole being and in this sense, we seek to be holistic in our approach and programme in serving the community.
