Fusion is a Christian club run in the Methodist School and more recently Grennhill School. The aim of the club it to fuse the work we do in the school, with the Church and create a link with parents and children. The group is for ages 5-11, and runs each Monday night from 3.45pm – 4.45pm at The Methodist School and on a Thursday from 3.15pm in Greenhill School.
The Group met initially in the Church each week, but after a few years we felt it would be better to run it in the school.
Review of year (Methodist School)
The school has welcomed us with open arms in running the club and they love what we do each week. We play games, have fun and learn stories from the Bible as well as Christian morals.
Topics included so far are:- the fruit of the Spirit, characters such as David, Moses, Abraham, Noah. We follow a three month programme and each month we have a film night.
We included the children from Fusion children’s club at one of our Christmas Services.
The Thornes fun day was run at the school reflecting the good relationships both with the head of the school, staff and parents.
We get around 20+ children each week.
The Future
Our aim is to get a bigger team and to run these clubs in a number of other schools. We are looking at starting the next club in Greenhill.
