Great news for teachers!!

Why not invite Jonathan Robinson our schools worker to come and take your RE lessons or assemblies. Jonathan has over 15 years experience in working in local schools. His wife Allison is a local school teacher and they have combined to put together materials that are relevant and suitable for primary schoolchildren. Jonathan does not preach or proselytise; the children have lots of fun whilst learning from a variety of themes and subjects.

Examples of partnership with local schools.

Assemblies, RE Lessons, Christmas/ Easter Road shows, Presentations, Lunchtime clubs.

As part of the National Curriculum a number of local schools have taken up the opportunity of visiting the church to learn what a live church does today. Children receive a tour of the building, are given questions to answer and a worksheet to take home All for free!!

We run an after school club at the Methodist School on Tuesday evenings for 6 to 11 year olds from 3.45pm to 4.45pm; and at Greenhill School on Thursdays.

LessonsJonathan will teach the subject of your choice and work alongside the National Curriculum; alternatively he can teach the children stories from the Bible or focus upon a number of key characters.

Subjects such as the church and the community, Faith, Signs are all subjects that he has covered in the past.

Assemblies Jonathan’s assemblies are fast moving, fun and relevant to the children and will include anything from magic tricks, clips from movies, interesting stories, interaction and songs... The children will go away with a thought for the day.

Road shows...A Christmas Road show has been held every year for the past 10 years... The road show is a fun filled multi media extravaganza with the message of Christmas and what it is all about. The road show contains music, videos, magic, quizzes, games, prizes, stories etc. The show lasts for 1 hour and both children and teachers enjoy the presentation.
